Exploration of Human Complexity in Securing Systems
SAND Number: 2011-7836P Panel Presentation. Security requires looking at the entire system to define a robust solution. Humans represent the most complex and disruptive "component" in the system but they are often left out of the system design. Recently emphasis has been placed under the federal cyber security R&D agenda on the need to recognize and advance cyber security as an adversarial science. This session will explore insights from the social and behavioral sciences that could provide the adversarial scientific foundation of cyber security. (Cheri Porter 01932)
